TourXoz

TourXOz has been a part of our client network since 2015 and their DNA tends to be travelling across extensive and remote areas of Australia in support of the Blackdog Institute and better mental health. Their message is to exercise your mood and much of the funds raised through their initiatives go towards the research into the links between exercise and improved mental health.

Their journeys have included:

1/ Perth to Sydney (road bike ride)

2/ Sydney to Perth (road bike ride)

3/ Adelaide to Darwin (road bike ride)

4/ Perth to Broome (road bike ride) and

5/ Cairns to Cape York (mountain bike ride)

Due to the uncertainity around Covid and what you can and cant do, their events this year had to pivot and for the first time in their history they held a 1 day event in and around Wollombi, Laguna and Broke NSW to allow their network to most importantly reconnect with each other but to also raise awareness and funds for mental health. Due to their network cutting across both road and gravel riders, the 70 participants were given a choice of either a road or gravel terrain.

Both ride routes were a massive success and the rider engagement and fundraising exceeded all expectations. Myrtle House Wollombi Cafe looked after riders once again and did another great job.

To the organising committee (Neil, Gary and Stefan) congratulations guys; to Robert Van Geest, thanks mate for all the work you did behind the scenes; to the ride captains Jason, Aaron, Justin, Danny, Dave, Rupert and to all the riders who showed up and cycled the courses and raised the coin, hats off … and of course to our Volunteers Ian, Daphne and Sarah … congrats people … we had an absolute ball.
