Give Blood

Together with the Australian Red Cross Blood Service (ARCBS), Entoure has launched a Blood Donation Challenge—a campaign for more people to give blood, today and every day of the year

Few Australians may know that the majority of blood donations—76%—is vital to the survival of people with cancer, heart disease, stomach and bowel disease, liver and kidney disease and haemophilia, as well as newborn babies and pregnant women. The remaining 24% of blood donations are essential for accident or burn victims, vaccinations or other disorders.

Imagine being Michelle and needing 1,350 blood donations per year! That’s 112 people donating blood once a month, every month, just to keep her out of a wheelchair. Michelle is one of thousands of people who require blood or blood products.

This is why blood donation is so important. A single blood donation can help save three lives.

Entoure Blood Donation Challenge Getting involved is easy. First, simply contact 13 14 95 for important details about where and how to donate. Then, when you arrive at a donor centre, request a "Club Red" registration slip and complete it, using "Entoure" and your organisation's name in the Company Name field. This will ensure that your donations will be calculated and tracked as part of both the Entoure Blood Donation Challenge and the ARCBS Club Red program. Regular blood donation updates will be available on this Web site to show the number of lives that have been helped through the Entoure Blood Donation Challenge. Entoure and the ARCBS also encourage you to get your organisation to join the challenge and give blood as a team. Call 13 14 95 for details on running a successful blood donation program, including eligibility for courtesy bus service to a donor centre. ARCBS can also provide you with the tools you need to promote blood donation in your organisation.
