Calum Lazenby

Hi Kent

Calum here. Just letting you know how fantastic the weekend was and how good it feels to be a part of something as good as Entoure. Big thanks to you and all the crew for a great event. Many thanks to all the riders and their families that added to the spirit of the event.

As quite a few people have asked I thought it might be good to let you all know how I’m going. I’m a little sore – let me tell you that for free! I have suffered a broken collar bone, needed some stitches in my hand and a few grazes here and there.

We were going along nicely, mid to high 40’s in our yellow jersey “race” when I stepped on it. I’ve pulled my foot out of the pedal, (god knows how) gone over the handlebars and that’s about that – bitumen here I come. I’ve landed on my bike, my helmet and shoes are ruined and my kit has seen better days, coming into contact with the ground will do that.

Special thanks to all who assisted; again the support has been great. I’m told recovery will be 6-8 weeks and see the specialist again in 2 weeks to confirm all is well. So a bit of TV and some pain meds. Happy days !

Entoure is an event I really believe in and thanks for the well wishes SMS, phone calls etc- it shows that you are a wonderful group.  Looking forward to the next Entoure.

Cheers

Calum
