Every now and then we need to be challenged. To get out of our comfort zone and to test our mettle; see what we are made of. I can’t think of a better way to do this than to be a part of a group of like minded people who are generous of heart. Christine and I will always cherish the experience and believe it or not will do it again… Next time however with a little more training!

As first timers on an Entoure ride, most of our team were not experienced cyclists or even experienced fund-raisers. However, we were motivated by the challenge of the ride and the worthiness of the cause. Thanks to Entoure we had a fantastic experience, met some great people and were inspired by the story of Ron Delezio and his amazing daughter, Sophie. Watch out next year for the Conrad Treasury Brisbane Team!

There are many reasons to support the work of Entoure. Some admittedly are personal, but like the peloton there is the creative effort of working together, in this case to make a small difference in kid’s lives. There is some pain and even if not, immense challenge over the 3 days but it is overcome in the knowledge of the relatives of those children we ride for.

The recent Brisbane – Noosa Entoure charity ride was as enjoyable as it was challenging. Kent’s organisational skills are superb, with an eye for detail that made our journey a simple one… turn up, pedal, eat, drink, pedal some more, sleep, eat, pedal etc etc. The highlight was undoubtedly meeting Sophie Delezio and her family, which put all of our aches and pains into perspective

The Noosa Entoure ride was my second. I have found the format Kent uses to suit busy schedules—being over 3 days and at one venue means that you can do three important things, support a great charity that supports kids, have a fantastic and challenging riding experience with a group of likeminded people and to do it with your family.
