With just 14 sleeps until we hit the Entoure Cycle Classic Noosa, it’s heartening to see how high our riders are reaching with their fundraising targets.

There’s one cyclist who had me wiping away a happy tear when I saw the results on his Hero Fundraising page, and that person is Entoure’s Hero of the Week.*

Franco Dibartolomeo, Captain of Team Coronis / MDEV, has raised more than $16,000 for critically injured children in four short days. When I saw the tally and comments from Franco’s donors I couldn’t believe it. Everyone at Entoure and the Day of Difference Foundation is blown away – this is an absolutely outstanding effort with many within Franco’s network contributing and some contributing massive amounts of money.

This achievement says a lot about Franco because whilst people support good causes, in the main, they support people they connect with and trust. Those who have supported Franco in just four days must think the world of him and see him as a hero – just as we do.

Good on you Franco, the subject of our first blog and Entoure’s Hero of the Week.

You may or may not know, but this tour we have a Riders’ Fundraising Jersey, sponsored by HP, for the rider who raises the most funds. Currently it has Franco’s name on it – but who knows – next week could be a very different story!
